This Gallery is unique because of its major focus on the environment. Marine Life Artist Wyland has intertwined environmental conservation with art collecting for about 32 years. Upon entering the gallery, visitors are plunged into a visual display of Wyland’s undersea universe in the form of paintings, sculptures and photography. USA Today has called Wyland a “Marine Michaelangelo” because of the raw power of his marine-themed art.
Wyland Gallery also features other wildlife artists working in oil and bronze, including notable Russian artist, Alexi Butirskiy. It isn’t just paintings at Wyland Gallery, rather there are varied mediums including exquisite glass in the form of whales and colorful ships. The variety of mediums is awe-inspiring, with art made of aluminum, recycled wood, gold leafing and timeless oil on canvas.
