The Village Center celebrates public art and artists
Walking around the Village Center you’ll notice something special – there’s a lot of art here! This is your guide to finding and exploring art at the Village Center.
Murals
The newest addition to our property is a mural called Serenity Now by local artist, Rory Canfield of Tonic Arts. It’s an ode to Tahoe’s seasonal changes with its snow-covered pines on one side and summertime flowers and pines on the other.
Inside of South Lake Brewing there’s a mural by TreeFort Design which depicts a Tahoe mountainside scene complete with flowers, hills, trees and waterfalls. It is an abstract composition with overlapping lines and scenes intermixing.
Sculpture
Outside Marcus Ashley Gallery you’ll find a beautiful sculpture garden featuring the kinetic wind-powered artworks of Lyman Whitaker and the wood-turned wonders of local artist Malcolm Tibbetts.
Galleries
And of course there’s the esteemed art and photo galleries at the Village Center putting on display some of the best creatives around. You can find out more about each shop by clicking their name below.
