The Village Center celebrates public art and artists

Walking around the Village Center you’ll notice something special – there’s a lot of art here! This is your guide to finding and exploring art at the Village Center.

Murals

The newest addition to our property is a mural called Serenity Now by local artist, Rory Canfield of Tonic Arts. It’s an ode to Tahoe’s seasonal changes with its snow-covered pines on one side and summertime flowers and pines on the other.

Inside of South Lake Brewing there’s a mural by TreeFort Design which depicts a Tahoe mountainside scene complete with flowers, hills, trees and waterfalls. It is an abstract composition with overlapping lines and scenes intermixing.

Sculpture

Outside Marcus Ashley Gallery you’ll find a beautiful sculpture garden featuring the kinetic wind-powered artworks of Lyman Whitaker and the wood-turned wonders of local artist Malcolm Tibbetts.
